Remediation of historical payroll discrepancies
In September 2020, BOQ Group proactively identified that there were historical discrepancies in payments made to those employed under the Bank of Queensland Enterprise Agreements between June 2013 and June 2021.
Since identifying the error, BOQ have been working to remediate the amounts owing to current and former employees who were impacted. We are pleased to confirm that this remediation work has now been completed. Those employees impacted have been provided with written notification and advised of remediation payments which have been paid to them. There are a small number of former employees who we are still attempting to contact.
We deeply apologise for the past failings which led to the discrepancy of payments. Since these discrepancies were identified, it has been our priority to identify those impacted and make the payments that are owed as quickly as possible.
We acknowledge that this process has taken some time to complete, and we thank you for your patience and understanding while we have worked through the remediation process. Improvements have been made to our systems and processes to prevent similar instances from happening again.
