BOQ and Square team up to make business payments easier

A first-of-a-kind partnership between Bank of Queensland (BOQ) and Square launched today and is set to make taking payments easier for small business owners across Australia.
BOQ’s small businesses customers will now have access to Square, an internationally renowned payments provider that makes it simple and easy for small business to accepts both contactless and chip card payments.
As part of the partnership, all new BOQ small business customers will receive a free Square device as well as $1,000 in fee-free card processing.
BOQ General Manager, SME Banking, Greg Pink, welcomed the unique partnership as an opportunity to offer small business customers greater access to payment options.
“At BOQ we have a unique understanding of small businesses as many of our branches are run by small business owners. First and foremost we are a relationship bank, and we are focused on developing long lasting relationships with our customers to help them in all aspects of their business banking needs.” said Mr Pink.
“Partnering with Square means we can offer a simple and more affordable card payment option for small business customers, which will help them to get up and running faster.”
The Square payment device also allows users to access functions which will help them in their every day running of their businesses including a dashboard of payment activities, sales analytics and invoices.

The Square reader for contactless and chip will be available to new BOQ small business customers in 180 branches across Australia from today.
