Bank of Queensland appoints new non-executive director

Bank of Queensland Limited (BOQ) today announced the appointment of Andrew Fraser as a Non-Executive Director of BOQ, effective from 8 February 2024.
BOQ Chairman Warwick Negus said: “On behalf of the Board I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Andrew Fraser as an independent Non-Executive Director to the BOQ Board. Andrew brings a wealth of experience to the BOQ Board and we are pleased he has joined us in this our 150th year”.
Mr Fraser is Chair of Australian Retirement Trust Pty Ltd and a Director of BESIX Watpac Ltd, Brisbane Broncos Ltd as well as President of Motorsport Australia. Additionally, he is Chair of Orange Sky Australia, and a Director of two other charities, Australians for Indigenous Constitutional Recognition and the Hear and Say Centre.
In 2022, he was appointed Chancellor of Griffith University, the first graduate to hold the role. Andrew won the University medal when he graduated with degrees in Law and Commerce (First Class Honours).
Mr Fraser, a Queenslander, was previously the Head of Strategy & Investment at National Rugby League and a Director of the Australian Sports Commission and Moorebank Intermodal Company. Andrew served as a Minister in two governments including as Treasurer of Queensland from 2007 to 2012.
