Meet BOQ Ballina Owner Manager Greg Andersen

Get to know one of BOQ’s newest Owner Managers, Greg Andersen of the BOQ Ballina branch.

I have enjoyed more than 40 years’ experience in the finance industry, including 10 years with the Reserve Bank of Australia before moving from Sydney to the Far North Coast of NSW. I was with the Summerland Credit Union for 16 years at senior management level then took up the position of CEO with Mayne Investments Ltd, a highly regarded regional mortgage fund with offices in Lismore and Ballina. Mayne established an excellent reputation for meeting the financial needs of business and commercial clients in Northern Rivers area.

I have lived in and around the district for more than thirty years, including time at Bexhill, Shaws Bay, Lindendale, and most recently in West Ballina. In that time I have been actively involved in a number of sporting and community organisations including Lismore Rugby and Rotary International and have been a member of Ballina Golf Club for 25 years.

Joining the BOQ as an Owner Manager represents an excellent opportunity to put those skills and experience into practice.  I look forward to expanding the Bank’s presence in the Ballina district and believe that BOQ offers the ‘face to face’ banking that the big four banks seem to have gone to such great lengths to replace with their service centre approach that prefers and rewards transactions that are performed remotely.
