Bank of Queensland has rung in the New Year with a strong performance in Money magazine’s annual Best of the Best Awards, emerging as the top-performing home-grown regional bank in banking products.

BOQ received a total of seven medals across its range of businesses, including consumer and business accounts and credit cards, making it the third most successful financial institution overall.

The Bank received the Silver Medal for its WebSavings Account, Q Rewards credit card and personal loan and the Bronze Medal for its Reverse Charges Account, Cash Management Account, car loan and Everyday Business Account.

The Bank’s Head of Banking Products, Darren Donaldson, said the number and diversity of BOQ products that were recognised showed the strength of BOQ’s product range across the board.

“It is great that our focus on offering superior customer service through our Owner-Managed Branch network, is supported by excellent products across our entire business,” Mr Donaldson said.

“Our WebSavings Account, Cash Management Account and revolutionary Reverse Charges Account, which pays customers with balances of $2,000+ a $2 monthly fee, are regular winners of Money magazine and other awards.

“However, it is great to see some of our other products, such as new Everyday Business Account along with credit cards, personal and car loans and business accounts achieving recognition was well.

“Of course, our products have additional strengths to competitive rates and other features, such as direct access to a branch manager or business banking manager and for retail customers access to the most widespread ATM network in Australia.”
