BOQ’s Mobile Banking a Winner

Bank of Queensland’s Mobile Banking solution was recognised as Australia’s best Mobile Commerce solution at the inaugural Amber Awards earlier this month at a gala event in Sydney.

The Amber Awards are a new national award established to independently assess and recognise excellence in eServices and highlight the leaders in Australian eCommerce.

BOQ’s Mobile Banking solution won the Mobile Commerce category ahead of other contenders, Commonwealth Bank Mobile Banking, Greater Union Ticketing, Moshtix Mobile Ticketing, and Commsec Mobile Trading.

Bank of Queensland Group Executive People and Corporate Services, Daniel Musson, said it was fantastic that the Bank’s mobile banking solution was recognised for being the industry front-runner it was.

“BOQ’s Mobile Banking actually links customers to Internet Banking through their mobile phone so you can login with the same credentials and your existing payees and billers are already available,” Mr Musson said.

“And our Mobile Banking lets customers use their mobile phone to check their balances, pay bills, transfer money across their own accounts and into other people’s, and authorise transactions on company accounts.”

Finalists for the inaugural AMBER Awards were selected from a field of more than 100 organisations. These were then narrowed down based on a nationwide customer satisfaction survey and results from an independent online user experience lab testing facility.
