BOQ Appoints Group Executive, Strategy & Corporate Development

BOQ is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr David Tonuri to a newly created role, Group Executive, Strategy and Corporate Development.
In his role, Mr Tonuri will have responsibility for all corporate development projects including mergers and acquisitions.
Mr Tonuri’s most recent position was Director of Corporate Banking for National Australia Bank and he has extensive experience in financial services’ strategy.
In announcing the appointment, BOQ Managing Director David Liddy said, “I’m delighted to have a person of David’s capability in this vital new role.
“We have made no secret of our desire to grow our business through complementary acquisitions and David’s experience in corporate banking and financial services strategy will be invaluable in driving the Bank’s strategy and M&A activity going forward.”
Mr Tonuri has extensive experience in corporate finance, with previous employers including Lloyds International, ANZ Bank, UBS, and Australian Capital Equity.
Mr Tonuri will report directly to the Managing Director and is expected to join the Bank in January 2011.
