BOQ Monto Celebrates a Year of Banking Differently

Monday, 12/01/2009

Bank of Queensland at Monto recently reached a major milestone, celebrating its first successful year operating as a BOQ branch since converting from Pioneer Building Society over twelve months ago.

Branch Manager John King says the branch has undergone a significant transformation in the past year, with the new bank giving local customers access to more banking services and products to meet their financial needs.

“It’s been a really exciting twelve months for us here at the Monto branch - business is booming and our customer base is continuing to grow,” John said.

“Since becoming a BOQ branch, we’ve been able to offer local residents and businesses the benefits of banking differently such as access to a broader product range as well as a huge number of ATMs and branches right across the country.

“Applying for credit cards has been very popular with our local customers as this is an extra new product now available to them through Bank of Queensland.

“The transition from Pioneer to Bank of Queensland was a smooth one due to BOQ’s same strong focus on superior customer service and local friendly faces.

“Feedback from our customers is very positive so far, with many commenting on how great it is to get such personal attention from our expert staff for their banking needs and enquiries.

“It felt really good at Christmas when we received cards from some of our valued customers who wrote that they wished all the banks were like us.

“Not many other banks out there can say they have these kind of close relationships with their customers.

“I would like to thank the local Monto community for their support over the past year and we look forward to building even stronger relationships with existing and new customers in 2009.”
